About Moustache Knives

In Sander Miesse's workshop it rains sparks and pounding heavy metal music. The dust mask is taken off, the tips of his moustache are sharpened and the music is turned off.
Sander says: ....The knife bug bit me early. I made my first knife, a kind of camping knife, from an old file when I was 4 years old.
At 19 years old - and having just moved away from home - I had no money to buy a proper knife. So I started studying knife making - and five years later I founded the knife factory Moustache knives - or MKnives as it is also called.
It takes about fifteen hours to make a complete knife. This of course means a high price point. But according to Sander, it's not that bad. He offers a lifetime guarantee on each knife.

I hate the throw-away society. A good, expensive knife lasts a lifetime. and can be passed down from generation to generation, unlike a bad, cheap knife that you have to replace every few years.
My knives are forged both in 1.4109 stainless steel with a hardness of 60 - 61 HRC and Sanmai steel with a carbon fiber steel core.
The stainless steel knife blades I make are easy to maintain and have a sharpness and cutting ability that fully matches carbon steel and other types of Japanese knife blades.
One of the advantages of my knife blades is that they don't chip or rust. They also stay absurdly sharp for a very long time and therefore rarely need sharpening.
