Tessitura Toscana Telerie is a family-owned mill near Florence, now in its third generation. The motifs are first painted in watercolour by Italian artists and then printed on European-grown linen or long-staple cotton – colourful tablecloths, tea towels, cushions, bedspreads and bed linen with an unmistakably Italian aesthetic. All textiles are Oeko-Tex certified.

About Tessitura
Tessitura Toscana Telerie is a family-owned weaving mill in Sesto Fiorentino near Florence, founded in 1947 and today run by the third generation. Rune-Jakobsen Design has sold Tessitura’s home textiles for many years and carries a wide selection of tablecloths, tea towels, cushions, bedspreads, throws and bed linen.
Watercolour originals
The motifs are first painted in watercolour by Italian artists and then printed on linen or cotton – which is why you can see the brushstrokes in the fabric. Other motifs are woven in as jacquard, so the pattern lasts wash after wash.
Linen and cotton
Linen is nature’s hardest-wearing fibre: it keeps its shape, regulates heat and gets softer with every wash. Tessitura uses European-grown linen without irrigation and long-staple cotton from Egypt and the USA. All textiles are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.
Made in Italy
Tessitura weaves, prints and sews in Italy, covers around half of its energy consumption with solar panels and packs in fabric bags or recycled plastic.
