CHEFS MATE in brass is a solid and unusually beautiful spice grinder that measures 13.5 cm and has a diameter of 4 cm.
CHEFS MATE works perfectly in the kitchen or directly on the dining table.
The grinders are intended for pepper and other dried spices such as cumin, coriander, cardamom etc.
The spices are filled through an opening in the side, so you don't have to take the grinder apart. Really smart and practical.
The lid is manufactured with a "tight fit" so that it does not stand and rattle, but is easily opened with the help of a knife or spoon.
All grinders are made of solid brass with a material thickness of 1 mm and a solid, cast grinder that is designed so that it grinds your spices optimally.
The 3-part grinding mechanism first guides the spice down into the mechanism, after which it is coarsely ground and finally completely finely ground.
The solid quality can be clearly felt when you hold a grinder - they weigh well and are a pleasure to work with in the kitchen. Weight 600 grams.
There is a difference between mashing and painting...
Unlike many other spice grinders, with Alexander's spice grinder you get a correct grinding, which ensures that you get the best out of your spices.
The 3-part grinder first guides the peppercorns down into the mill, after which it is coarsely ground and finally finely ground.
- and the grinders are not only intended for pepper. You can also grind all possible other dried spices such as cardamom seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds etc. with great ease.

About the spice grinders
Rune-Jakobsen Design Has agency on the handmade spicegrinders From Alexander Handmade Mills.
These grinders are unbeatable at grinding salt, pepper, coffee and other dry spices such as cardamom, coriander seeds, cumin etc.
Alexander Handmade Mills was established 45 years ago by mechanical engineers Ioannou and Zarkadis. Their vision was to produce beautiful metal grinders of the highest quality. It has been very successful, and today their hand mills are successfully sold all over the world.
Although the company has expanded since 1977, they have retained their production in Thessaloniki, which is the main city of the area of birth of Alexander the Great. This gives the products a strong link to Greek history and culture.
All mills are made in brass, copper, chrome and brushed chrome. The grinder insert itself is molded and designed so that it actually grinds your spices and coffee and does not simply crush them like many other grinders on the market. This means that you get maximum flavor and aroma from your ingredients. The perfect choice for both the private and the professional food chef.
Care instructions, spice grinder
Application:
Before use, it is recommended to grind a small amount through the grinding mechanism of the mill and then discard it.
In most of the mills, the handle is packaged inside the mill body and must be installed before the mill is put into use for the first time. Unscrew the bolt in the top of the mill and remove the top, take out the handle, put the top back on, put the handle on top of it and tighten the nut.
All mills listed as pepper mills are made for pepper, but can also grind dried spices. In general, it is not recommended to grind spices with a soft core in these mills.
Salt should only be ground in mills listed as salt mills.
The coffee mills are fitted with a removable container at the bottom for collecting the ground coffee.
To insert peppercorns, coffee beans or salt, unscrew the bolt at the top of the mill and remove the top. You can determine the coarseness you want to produce by adjusting the screw at the bottom of the mill. Salt mills cannot be adjusted.
However, the Chefs Mate model is refilled from the hatch on the side of the mill, and the coarseness is set on the screw at the top of the mill.
Care:
The outside of brass mills and copper mills will naturally oxidize and develop a patina over time and through use.
If you want to maintain a bright and new appearance, you can polish the outside of the mill with a soft cloth applied with regular metal polish.
Never wash or immerse the mill in water, as water will corrode the mechanism.

Regarding Woodworks
We aim to continuously expand the catalog so that sizes and designs are best illustrated in the webshop.
There are not photos of all variants and sizes, so the photo that appears when choosing a variant in the webshop mainly reflects only the type of wood - not necessarily size or other variations in the design.
NOTE that we always try to create unique wooden products with an exciting visual expression. You must therefore take our product photos as a guide and not as a guarantee of how the finished product appears in terms of year drawings and color play.
Any questions?
If you have questions about the choice of design, sizes, colors or type of wood - or if you have special wishes, you are always very welcome to contact us at info@rune-jakobsen.dk and get your questions clarified before you order.
