The motifs are painted in watercolour by the mill's own Italian artists and then printed onto the fabric in northern Italy. The fabric is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe bedspread is made from a single layer of heavy linen rather than several layers with filling in between. That means it drapes heavily and flat down the bed instead of puffing up – and it can go in an ordinary washing machine. Linen is one of the oldest textile fibres we know: strong, breathable and quick-drying, and it gets softer with every wash without losing its structure. Because linen is a natural material, there are small irregularities in the weave – not a flaw, but what gives linen its drape and character.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWash at 40 °C with a colour detergent, no bleach.
