Mounting of knife rails with or without screws.
All knife rails come with two hidden keyhole fittings on the back. We use different types of fittings depending on the design, but the principle is the same.

2 screws are drilled into the wall to which the rail is attached. Screws and raw plugs are included with the order.
If you want to mount without screws, you can use mounting glue or strong double-sided tape. We usually recommend No More Nails from Pattex, but any mounting glue will work as long as your kitchen knives are not too heavy and the wall is 100% flat.
When ordering, please leave a note in the shopping cart so that we make the back completely smooth without oil treatment, so that your chosen tape or adhesive sticks better.
Alternatively, we can place the brackets at a distance that matches two joints in a tiled wall. This simply requires that we be informed of the exact distance between two joints when ordering.
Mounting with magnets
If you prefer a completely screw- and adhesive-free solution, we offer the Knifeboard Magnetic — a knife rail with a magnetic backing designed to mount directly on your refrigerator, extractor hood, or any other magnetic surface. The rail goes up and comes down without tools and without leaving a mark.
If you want magnetic suspension on one of our other designs, it is possible to get it as a customized solution. Write to Kari at info@rune-jakobsen.dk and we will find the right solution for you.
(Please note that all warranties will be void if the knife rail is mounted without the use of mounting brackets.)
