'TUB' wooden bathtub
Showcases and wooden bathtubs (hereafter 'the product') are handmade to order.
When ordering a product, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the purchase amount is charged. The remaining amount is due for payment when the product is ready for dispatch.
If you regret your purchase during the manufacturing process or after receiving the product, we will refund the purchase amount minus the 30% deposit
You (or recipient of the product) have 14 days after receipt to notify us if you regret the purchase, and then you also have 14 days to send it back.
Returns are at the buyer's expense.
Purchase amount excl. the deposit is refunded when the product is returned and received in undamaged condition.
If there is transport damage during the return or damage caused by the buyer during handling of the product, the right to a refund expires.
Complaint
Rune-Jakobsen Design provides, according to the Sales Act, a 2-year right of complaint from the invoice date for manufacturing and material defects (deficiencies).
The right of complaint does not cover errors, damage or wear and tear, directly or indirectly caused by incorrect operation or use, incorrect maintenance, violence or unauthorized interventions.
Any complaints about defects in delivered products must be made in writing to Rune-Jakobsen Design within 14 days of receipt, after which the right to claim will expire.

As some of the only ones in Denmark, we offer to craft a genuine handmade wooden bathtub.
A wooden bathtub is the top measure of exclusive elegance. It adds atmosphere and heat to your bathroom environment, and the wood keeps the water warm for longer than traditional bathtubs.
TUB is handmade by carpenter Mads Christensen, who, in addition to his training as a furniture-maker, has also been trained by the country's leading masters in the old 'bødker' trade. He creates TUB according to the highest quality standards and with the uncompromising sense of detail and handicraft care of the skilled cabinetmaker. Every piece of wood in the tub is cut, planed and fitted by hand to achieve optimal quality of assembly.
TUB is manufactured in thermo ash or oak, and comes with stainless steel strips and optional drain location by default.
Thermo ash has a beautiful, exclusive and exotic look like tropical wood. The ash wood (which is basically white) has undergone a heat treatment, which makes the wood’s resistance to fungus and rot increase, making the wood very useful for bathtubs. In the heat treatment, the colour of the wood is changed to a beautifully nutty brown with reddish shades.
We have as an alternative to Thermo ash the opportunity to offer Teak wood for your bathtub. Unfortunately, at present it has become almost impossible to extract genuine, certified Burma teak. which unfortunately is also reflected in the price. Please contact us if you are interested in the possibility of a teakwood bath.
Oak wood is a type everyone is familiar with, and which makes some really nice vessels. We use oak with a very low content of tannic acid so it is not like bathing in awine barrel!
The drain will be placed at the bottom of the vat so you can place your wooden tub near the existing floor drain. There is room for a hidden hose under the bottom of the wooden bathtub.
Wood is a living material that keeps developing. This means that the tub can eventually become a little leaky if it is left unused. It is therefore advisable that you occasionally fill your vessel and let it soak and expand to maintain its density.

About product photos
In general
All product photos are real photos of the specific products. However, some photos have added interiors and surroundings created using artificial intelligence to create atmosphere and put the product into context.
Regarding Woodworks
We aim to continuously expand the catalog so that sizes and designs are best illustrated in the webshop.
There are not photos of all variants and sizes, so the photo that appears when choosing a variant in the webshop mainly reflects only the type of wood - not necessarily size or other variations in the design.
NOTE that we always try to create unique wooden products with an exciting visual expression. You must therefore take our product photos as a guide and not as a guarantee of how the finished product appears in terms of year drawings and color play.
