'Blackboard' - blackstained oak knife rail in 3 variants

We often get requests for knife rails with an even darker color than smoked oak, so we now offer selected designs in solid black stained oak for those of you who would like a deep black magnetic rail.
In our knife rails, there are several rows of strong, coherent N52 Neodyminum magnets along the entire length of the rail, so that it can be fully utilized.
You can therefore easily have 6-8 knives hanging on a 40 cm rail.
Blackboard is produced in 3 variants:

Narrow is the traditional format in 4.5 cm height and 2.5 cm thickness

Wide is 10 cm wide, 2.5 cm thick and is beveled on all 4 back sides so that the rail creates a nice shadow effect against the wall.

Mega strong is 6 cm high and has 100% more traction than the other designs - perfect if you have knives that have difficulty sticking to normal knife rails.
( NOTE! Mega Strong is ONLY recommended for knives made of e.g. Damascus steel, which have difficulty sticking to normal knife rails. If you have "ordinary" knives, you must choose a rail with normal traction.)
In our knife holders, you will find no cheap hobby magnets or easy solutions, as is often the case with other rails on the market.

The bar magnets in our handmade knife holders are invisibly encased in the wood and are distributed in several rows so that you achieve optimal adhesion with several contact points on each knife blade.
This way you avoid your knives sliding down, or "spinning" around on the rail and being attracted to each other - and then of course there is attention to detail and finish!
Blackboard is produced as standard in lengths between 30 and 120 cm.

* Please note that certain types of knives require particularly powerful magnets. Should it turn out that you have chosen a product that is not suitable for exactly your knives, we will exchange it for another model with a smile - If you are in doubt, you are welcome to contact us before ordering.
We only use carefully curated FSC certified furniture wood. The primary woods are oak, smoked oak and walnut. In addition, we offer a number of special types of wood that are sold in conjunction with special orders, e.g. Teak, ash, chestnut, golden rain, cherry, wengé, zebrano, beech, etc.
We finish all products with a high-quality wood oil, but if you would prefer e.g. an oil with a white pigment, we can of course do that too - the desired final treatment can be mentioned under the remarks of the ordering.

Of course, we make small changes compared to the standard measurements without charge.

Suspension:
All our knife rails come as standard with different types of hidden brackets for screw mounting on the back (screws and rawlplugs included)
- but do you have e.g. a tiled wall that you don't want to screw into, most knife rails can also be produced without suspension so that they can be stuck up with e.g. "No more nails" from Pattex or a similar assembly glue. Special requests for suspension are stated in the comments when ordering.
Right of return
When you order a unique knife rail or knife block in the webshop without having "seen it in real life", there will always be a built-in uncertainty as two products are never the same or have the same visual expression - so perhaps the result was not quite as you had imagined you or expected.
That is why there is a full right of return on all knife holders - even if they are custom-made.
You can now get all RJ Woodworks products with copper details as an alternative to brass or aluminium for an additional charge depending on size and design.
