All of our knife rails and knife blocks are designed with combinations of super powerful N50/N52 neodymium magnets.
Still, I have chosen to design MEGA because I often get inquiries from customers who want an extraordinarily strong and deep knife rail, where the knives just stay hanging no matter what...
MEGA has 100% more traction than our other rails and is an obvious choice if you have knives made of, for example, Damascus steel.
The rail is magnetic along its entire length, so you can easily have 7-8 knives hanging on 40cm.
- Mega is ONLY recommended for knives made of, for example, Damascus steel or other alloys that have difficulty adhering to normal magnetic rails. The vast majority of knives will be able to be held on one of my standard rails without any problems.
Mega is NOT recommended for knives with blades made of traditional Japanese high carbon steel, Aogami or Shirogami. For these types of knives we recommend one of our standard rails, or designs with leather or linoleum.
MEGA measures 6 cm in height and extends approx. 45 mm from the wall. The magnets are invisibly encapsulated in the wood and distributed in several rows so you achieve optimal adhesion with multiple contact points on the knife blade.
This prevents your knives from "spinning" around on the rail and being attracted to each other.

We only use carefully curated FSC certified furniture wood. The primary woods are oak, smoked oak and walnut. In addition, we offer a number of special types of wood that are sold in conjunction with special orders, e.g. Teak, ash, chestnut, golden rain, cherry, wengé, zebrano, beech, etc.
We finish all products with a high-quality wood oil, but if you would prefer e.g. an oil with a white pigment, we can of course do that too - the desired final treatment can be mentioned under the remarks of the ordering.

This means that the rail or knife block is fully magnetic throughout its entire length/width and you can place your knives anywhere on the rail or block.
We only use powerful, high-quality neodymium magnets in various sizes and formats, which are carefully selected so that they work optimally with the knife rail's design and purpose.
Many manufacturers choose to market point magnetic products that can only hold a limited number of knives as there is only one round magnet per knife.

We invest time in selecting the right wood to ensure that our products appear harmonious and visually appealing, and during production we prioritize meticulousness and thorough grinding processes that include coarse, medium and fine grinding done by hand. This ensures that the knife holders get a beautiful finish that will patina beautifully and last for many years.
All our products are finished with a discreet "Rune-Jakobsen" stamp and oiled with an environmentally friendly furniture oil, which supports our focus on quality and sustainability.
In other words, we do not create "buy cheap - use - and throw away" solutions in knife storage.

Suspension:
All our knife rails come as standard with various types of hidden brackets for screw suspension on the back (screws and rawl plugs included)
But if you have, for example, a tiled wall that you do not want to screw into, most knife rails can also be manufactured without a suspension so that they can be glued on with, for example, “No more Nails” from Pattex or a similar mounting adhesive. Special requests for suspension should be stated in the notes section when ordering.
Return policy
When you order a unique knife block or knife holder in the webshop without having "seen it in real life", there will always be a built-in uncertainty as no two products are ever the same or have the same visual expression - so the result may not be quite what you had imagined or expected.
That's why there is a full right of return on all knife holders - even if they are custom-made.
You can now get all RJ Woodworks products with copper details as an alternative to brass or aluminium for an additional charge depending on size and design.

In general
All product photos are real photos of the specific products. However, some photos have added interiors and surroundings created using artificial intelligence to create atmosphere and put the product into context.

We aim to continuously expand the catalog so that sizes and designs are best illustrated in the webshop.

⏎ Complaints and right of withdrawal
According to the Danish Sales Act, Rune-Jakobsen Design grants a 2-year warranty from the invoice date for manufacturing and material defects (defects).
The right of complaint does not cover errors, damage or wear and tear, directly or indirectly resulting from incorrect operation, incorrect maintenance, violence or unauthorized interventions.
Any complaints about defects in delivered products must be made to Rune-Jakobsen Design within 14 days after the buyer has - or should have discovered the defect.
You have 30 days after receipt to notify us that you regret the purchase, and then you have an additional 8 days to return it.
The right of withdrawal applies to all standard products in the webshop.
The right of withdrawal and return for custom-made products in special sizes is only valid if a special (written) agreement has been made.
If you regret your purchase and return the item(s), we will refund the full purchase amount when the item(s) is/are delivered back to us in unused and undamaged condition.
You can use a shipping company of your choice and bear the costs associated with the return yourself.
When returning due to a complaint, Rune-Jakobsen Design will cover the return costs.

Rune-Jakobsen Design yder ifølge købeloven 2 års reklamationsret fra fakturadato på fabrikations- og materialefejl (mangler).
Reklamation over mangler eller skader på leverede produkter skal ske til Rune-Jakobsen Design indenfor 14 dage efter modtagelse af varen/varerne.
Reklamationsretten dækker ikke fejl, skader eller slitage, direkte eller indirekte opstået som følge af forkert betjening, forkert vedligeholdelse, vold eller uautoriserede indgreb.
Ved fortrydelse af køb kan anvende et fragtfirma efter eget valg og afholder selv omkostningerne forbundet med returnering.
Ved returnering pga. reklamation afholder Rune-Jakobsen Design returomkostningerne.
