Based on the weight and dimensions of your order and your delivery address. Large, lightweight parcels are priced by volumetric weight, while compact, heavier parcels are priced by actual weight — just as the carriers calculate their charges.

The prices come directly from our agreements with the individual carriers. These agreements are volume-based: the more parcels we ship, the better rates we receive — and those are the rates you pay.

Shipping is calculated at checkout as soon as you enter your address, and the shipping price shown will not change afterwards.

Why don’t you offer free shipping?

Because shipping is never actually free. When an online store offers “free shipping”, the cost — including fuel and airfreight surcharges — still has to be covered somewhere, typically through product prices or the company’s margin. In practice, this can mean that a customer in Hamburg helps pay for a parcel being shipped to Perth.

With us, the product price covers the product, and the shipping price covers the shipping. It follows the same principle as our product pricing: fixed throughout the year, with no sales, no Black Friday promotions and no discount codes.

Why does shipping cost more to some countries?

We ship all orders from Denmark. A cutting board sent to Germany travels through a dense European distribution network. The same board sent to Australia has to be flown, cleared through customs and distributed locally.

We show you that difference instead of adding it to everyone’s product prices.

Can I choose the shipping method?

Yes. We work with a range of carriers, and you choose your preferred option at checkout. Where available at your destination, you can choose between home delivery and a parcel shop, as well as standard and express delivery.

This lets you decide the balance between price and delivery time.

Do you make money on shipping?

No. We do not add a profit margin to the carrier’s price. We cover the cost of packaging and packing ourselves.

What about customs duties and taxes?

If you order within the EU, VAT is included in the prices and there are no customs duties between EU countries.

For most of our markets outside the EU, we collect applicable customs duties, VAT and other relevant charges at checkout and ship the order DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). This means you pay the full amount upfront and will not subsequently receive a request for customs duties or VAT upon delivery.

For some destinations, import charges cannot be calculated accurately in advance. In these cases, we ship DAP (Delivered at Place), and any customs duties, VAT or other import charges are collected locally upon import.

The terms that apply to your order are shown at checkout and in your order confirmation.

We do not make any profit on customs duties, VAT or other government charges. Any amounts we collect are used to pay the relevant duties, taxes and charges.

Yes — we ship worldwide, to customers in more than 50 countries. All orders ship from Denmark, and the exact shipping cost for your country is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.

We ship everything from Denmark (EU), and the price you see at checkout is the final price. Here's what applies to your country:

EU: VAT is automatically adjusted to your local rate at checkout. No customs, no import fees — the checkout price is the final price.

United Kingdom: UK VAT is charged directly at checkout, just like in a UK store. All orders ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), so any duties are paid in advance — no hidden fees, no customs delays.

USA: No US sales tax. Duties and import taxes are calculated and paid at checkout (DDP), so you know the total price before you order.

Australia: Orders ship DAP. Under AUD 1,000: no duty, no GST, no fees. Over AUD 1,000: Australian authorities charge duty, GST and a processing fee, collected by the carrier before delivery.

Canada: Orders ship DAP. GST/HST and any handling fee are collected by the carrier on import. Nearly all our products are of EU origin and enter duty-free under CETA — only our Japan collection may be subject to regular Canadian duty rates.

Other countries: Orders ship DAP, meaning any local VAT, duties and handling fees are collected by the carrier on arrival. Many countries have a threshold below which orders are exempt — check with your local customs authority, or ask us before ordering.

Fixed, fair prices

We believe in the value of good craftsmanship – and that is reflected in our prices, which are the same for all customers throughout the year.

We do not take part in discount campaigns such as Black Friday, and you will not find discount codes for our shop on external sites or deal services.

This is a deliberate choice: We do not wish to treat our customers differently, so rather than short-term or individual discounts, we instead offer quality products at fair prices – and these benefits, which are always available to everyone:

• 10% discount when purchasing 3 or more tea towels.
• Great deals on discontinued items and unique items in our Outlet

• We do not participate in January sales, Black Week, Black Friday or other types of sales.
• Our prices in the webshop are the same all year round.
• You can get a 10% discount when buying more than 3 tea towels. The discount is automatically deducted at checkout.
• We usually also have good offers in the Outlet on discontinued products, prototypes or leftover lots.

Like most people, Kari and I are bombarded with emails after almost every online purchase, asking us to leave a product review.

We've never liked this, so we've decided not to contact our own customers this way. That's why we don't send automated emails requesting reviews.

We're all the more pleased when a customer takes the time to email us with their feedback or leave a review. Such feedback means a lot to us, precisely because it's voluntary.

Every piece of feedback—whether praise, suggestions, or constructive criticism—helps us to improve a little bit every day.

Normal delivery time for stock items is 1-2 working days in Denmark and 5-6 working days abroad.

All wooden products can be made to special dimensions. Small changes in relation to standard measures are carried out at no additional cost.
