Rune-Jakobsen Design is a Danish company that ships all products from Denmark (EU).

We charge VAT in accordance with the applicable VAT rates in each EU country for orders within the EU + Norway.

If you shop with us from an EU country, you will therefore not be charged additional costs.

When selling to countries outside the EU:

Rune-Jakobsen Design ships 'Delivered At Place' (DAP), also called "Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU).

This means that we (Rune-Jakobsen design) are only responsible for shipping the product, and that you (the customer) are responsible for paying any import costs to the shipping company, such as customs duties, import duties or disbursement fees upon delivery.

So if you are resident in a country outside the EU, in some cases customs duties and taxes may be imposed. This depends on both the purchase amount and the product category.

If you wish to have your order delivered DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) so that you are not charged additional costs when purchasing , please contact us before ordering.

The fees are determined by the local laws and customs authorities in your country of residence.

If you are not sure what the de minimis value is for the country or region you are shipping to, check the website of that country or region's tax authority or consult a local tax expert.

🇺🇸 Starting on January 1, 2025, the Shopify Shop channel will automatically collect, remit, and file taxes for all orders shipping to or within the United States.

The Shopify Shop channel collects taxes on orders in all states (including the District of Columbia) that administer statewide sales tax, as well as Alaska local sales tax. For more information on how these taxes are calculated, refer to the US taxes reference page.

Orders placed using Shop Pay from online stores are excluded from these tax calculations. This only applies to orders placed on the Shop app.
