The Shun Premier Tim Mälzer knives from KAI are a premium series of knives for both enthusiasts and professionals. The hallmarks are high quality and finish, good cutting properties and a very comfortable handle.

The focus is of course on the functional aspects, but it has nevertheless resulted in a visually impressive knife with many details such as the beaten tsuchime surface on the upper half of the blade, the clear transitions between the 65 layers of steel the knife is forged from. The handle, which is made of American walnut wood, has also been pampered.

The knife here is a so-called utility knife of 16 cm. It is probably the most universal knife of the common types after the chef's knife, and can also replace a chef's knife in many ways. It is not quite as tall as a chef's knife and is also shorter, which makes it very easy to handle. It can be used to slice vegetables and cut smaller pieces of meat - and it is also fantastic for trimming meat and finer cutting tasks in fruit and vegetables.

Premier is a series of knives with a relatively thin blade that has good cutting properties and is relatively light.
