Rectangular raku-fired plate - perfect for sandwiches, sushi and other portioned dishes
The texture is raw and the edge asymmetrical - no two plates are alike. The surface is unglazed and the sherd is colored dark from the raku firing with metallic touches in cracks and crevices which are remnants of a dried glaze.
This model is used for serving smørrebrød at Restaurant Villa Vest in Lønstrup.
Machine washable.
Not microwave safe.
About ceramics from Dorte Visby
Dorte Visby: Born in 1968, trained pottery maker in 1993 and has since 1998 had a workshop gallery in Lønstrup, North Jutland.
She exhibits her work both in Denmark and abroad. Exhibited at SOFA in Chicago and New York, Collect in London and most recently at the Superbie in Berlin.
Dorte is also a repeat exhibitor at the ceramics museum 'CLAY' in Middelfart
