About Rune-Jakobsen Design

Rune-Jakobsen Design is a family-owned Danish brand, founded by Kari and Torben Rune-Jakobsen in 2016. We design and sell high-end home accessories and cookware to quality-conscious customers in more than 30 countries – with a strong presence across Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia.

We operate under the motto: »Crafted – Not produced!«

Our designs sit at the intersection of functionalism and craftsmanship, where aesthetics and durability go hand in hand. We insist on offering only products made to last for generations – which is why everything in our range has its own distinct DNA.

Direct from our workshop to you

Under the name Rune-Jakobsen Woodworks we produce a curated collection of handmade interior pieces ourselves.

As an online-only shop, Kari and I have 100% control over our supply chains. Each wooden product is made to order – handcrafted by us in our own joinery in Denmark.

This is your guarantee of genuine joinery of the highest quality without costly middlemen, with much of the range sold exclusively here on the website.

Carefully selected partners

When we're not at the workbench, we work exclusively with independent workshops and makers in Italy, France, Belgium, Sweden, Greece and Japan who share our approach to sustainability, materials and fine craftsmanship.

We work directly with the producers and know the people behind every product. In addition, we are the proud Scandinavian agent for Alexander Handcrafted Mills – timeless spice grinders handmade in Greece.
