Læsø Garnspinderi is one of Denmark’s oldest spinning mills, founded in 1894 on the island in the Kattegat. The throws are woven from 100% pure new wool in natural, undyed shades, washed in warm soapy water and brushed so the surface becomes soft. Danish wool, Danish craftsmanship – and a throw that lasts a generation.

Læsø Plaid®

The throws from Læsø Garnspinderi are produced in the best wool quality. The raw wool is sorted into a range of natural colours which are used in different weaves to create a beautiful range of patterns and play of colours.

Great emphasis is placed on environmentally sound production. For example all the spinning oils used in production are biodegradable. The production criteria mean that the gray and white products are all uncoloured and unbleached and therefore free of chemical additives.

The plaids are woven in 10% oversize, after which the fringes are made. They are then washed in warm soapy water, dried and brushed so that the surface of the finished plaid becomes soft and lovely.

Læsø Plaid® has preserved the skin-friendliness and softness of natural wool. The high quality of the plaid will give you daily pleasure for a long time to come!
