Om Matsuda Kiribako Co.
Masuda Kiribako Co. blev etableret i 1929 som producent af traditionel håndlavet kiribako æsker lavet af paulownia-træ (kaldet ‘Kiri’ på japansk).
I starten bestod produktionen af æsker til traditionelle japanske genstande såsom Hakata-dukker og Shamisen-instrumenter.
Senere udviklede Masuda Kiribako en bred vifte af træbokse til te-ceremoniinstrumenter, fødevarer og andre småting i hjemmet.
Masuda Kiribako drives i dag af Hirofumi Fujii, som er tredje generation. Hirofumi er født i 1987 og er en ung leder, der har videreført håndværket fra sin bedstefar, andengenerationslederen af Masuda Kiribako. Med Hirofumi udvikler Masuda Kiribako løbende unikke håndværksmetoder til at skabe smukke og charmerende træbokse

Land is purchased in Koga City, Fukuoka and Masuda Kiribako transfers to a newly built factory |

“Masuda Kiribako Corporation” is established with Hirofumi’s grandfather, Hiroshi Masuda as the President |

A second factory is established in Shingu, within the Kasuya District of Fukuoka |
1990 |
Masuda Kiribako establishes its own lumber yard |
2002 |
Masuda Kiribako works are put on display in the Kyushu National Museum |
2012 |
Hirofumi Fujii becomes President of Masuda Kiribako |
2013 |
Collaborations with designers are started, and Masuda Kiribako launches production and development of designer products |

Masuda Kiribako moves to a newly built factory in Koga City, Fukuoka |
