Sake glasses from Kagami Crystal
Edo Kiriko sake glasses from Kagami Crystal
Two sake glasses (ochoko) designed and hand-cut by Satoshi Nabetani: Sunflower, where a sunflower gathers at the bottom of the glass, and Daffodil with the daffodil as its motif. In Sunflower the seed head is cut in the traditional Edo faceting Nanako – a fine, pearl-like pattern that shows the craftsmanship up close.
Serving as part of the experience
A sake glass is made to bring out the finesse and temperature of the sake, especially served chilled – and with Edo Kiriko the light, cut and play of colour change according to how the glass is held. 80 ml, delivered in a sealed wooden box – a gift for someone with something to celebrate.
Kagami makes its glassware in small batches, and several models are only available in limited numbers. Write to Kari at info@rune-jakobsen.dk if you would like to pre-order a sold-out model.
