Our refined range of wall shelves is made from solid oak, smoked oak, or walnut, perfectly suited to contemporary Australian homes – whether in the kitchen, living area, hallway, bedroom or study.

At Rune-Jakobsen Design, we use only FSC-certified solid timber. No veneer. No laminate. Each shelf is handcrafted to order in our workshop in Denmark, with attention to lasting quality, detail and sustainable design values.

Minimalist Fixing – All Components Included

All shelves come with a concealed mounting system and include the screws and wall plugs needed for hassle-free installation.

Every piece of timber is unique. Should your shelf not meet expectations, we offer a full return guarantee – even on made-to-order items.

We only use carefully curated FSC certified furniture wood. The primary woods are oak, smoked oak and walnut. In addition, we offer a number of special types of wood that are sold in conjunction with special orders, e.g. Teak, ash, chestnut, golden rain, cherry, wengé, zebrano, beech, etc.

We finish all products with a high-quality wood oil, but if you would prefer e.g. an oil with a white pigment, we can of course do that too - the desired final treatment can be mentioned under the remarks of the ordering.

NOTE that we are always trying to create unique and elaborate products with an exciting visual expression and colour profile. You should therefore take our product photos with a grain of salt and not as a guarantee of how the finished product looks.

At our core, we are all about the craft and the product itself. To give you the most authentic impression possible, we have chosen to take our own product photos.

Every image you see of our wood products is of a real item we have crafted for a customer. To ensure the best possible presentation, we may digitally adjust sharpness and colours or place the product in a relevant setting using artificial intelligence to better show it in a natural context.

A Guide to Variants

We are constantly expanding our product gallery. As many of our products come in a multitude of sizes and variations, we do not yet have photos of every single one. The image displayed when you make your selection primarily illustrates the chosen type of wood – not necessarily the specific size or design variation.

Wood is a living, natural material, and our passion is to create unique products with character. The grain and play of colours will therefore naturally vary from one product to the next. Please consider our photos as a source of inspiration and an indication of the high quality we deliver.

Products by Rune-Jakobsen Woodworks are 100% danish, hand-made craftmanship quality, designed and manufactured to last for generations.

In the manufacture of our products we take no shortcuts, and you will find no easy solutions in the craftsmanship.

In other words, we always go the extra mile!

We spend time selecting, sorting and cutting the wood we use, so that our products always give off a beautiful and coherent visual expression without cracks and knots.

You will also find no cheap fittings or plates with veneer or laminate in the products. All products are made from solid, FSC certified oak, smoked oak or walnut.

Our products are manufactured "on demand", so when you place an order with us, you do not receive a product picked from a storage shelf - Instead, we manufacture each product specifically for you.

Of course, that means that we only produce one design at a time, and to create a high quality product takes time, so therefore there is approximately 10-14 days of delivery time from your order until we have your order ready for shipping. (Applies to standard products. When ordering furniture, bathtub and display cases, 8-12 weeks delivery time is expected)

All our designs are handmade in our small furniture workshop to the highest quality standards with uncompromising focus on detail and care.
