How to find the right knife rail.
What length should I choose?
The length determines how many knives your knife rail can hold. A simple method is to line up your knives with the spacing you want. Then measure the total width – this will give you the minimum length your new knife rail should be.
Which rails are the strongest?
We design our rails so that a standard rail of 4.5 cm in width has more than enough power for the vast majority of kitchen knives. The width is therefore primarily about design, as the magnetic strength is the same across widths within the same series.
- Rails 4.5–8.5 cm wide have the same magnetic force.
- Rails in 10–28 cm width have approximately 50% stronger magnetic force .
- All X-tra Strong designs have 100% stronger magnetic force than the standard models.
If you have very large or heavy knives, we recommend a wide or X-tra Strong model. This provides a larger magnetic contact surface and ensures that the knives sit extra stably.
