'Kampot Blanc' white pepper

Kampot pepper:

This pepper, which is one of the best in the world, has been cultivated in the Cambodian province of Kampot for centuries.

This spicy black pepper grows in the southern part of Kampot province, which lies between the southern foothills of the Elephant Mountains and the Gulf of Thailand.

Due to this special location - between the mountains and the sea - the pepper plant grows in particularly nutrient-rich soil and can therefore develop its full aroma. The Kampot Noir harvest takes place in the months of April to June.

Muntok pepper:

Originates from the Indonesian island of Bangka, not far from Sumatra, and is named after its port of export. It contains only about 1% essential oils, has less aroma and a cleaner spiciness than traditional black pepper.

Penja pepper:

Penja Blanc grows on volcanic soil, which is rich in minerals and thus gives the pepper its character. The pepper has a round, intensely spicy taste. In addition, the peppers are fully ripe. The taste is robust and powerful with a mineral aroma. It harmonizes with fish and shellfish, poultry, vegetables, orange and pear.

Thekkady Pepper:

Originates from the southwestern Indian region of Kerala. In Periyar National Park, ancient varieties of pepper that are threatened with extinction are nurtured and hand-picked by local people as part of a sustainable, ecological management system. These old varieties have a much higher proportion of essential oils than new hybrid peppers.

Timut pepper:

This pepper from Nepal is considered the Nepalese Szechuan pepper, which is not botanically related to black pepper (Piper nigrum) but to citrus plants.

The Timut pepper plant grows wild as a tree with dense leafy branches, where thorns of up to two centimeters make harvesting difficult, around 2,000 meters. After flowering in spring, red berries are formed that contain shiny black seeds.

Later, in autumn, the ripe berries are harvested by hand. Then the pickers, almost always women, carefully separate the harvested berries from other plant components, such as stems and leaves, by hand. The berries are then dried and the small black seed balls fall out of the shell. That's a good thing, because they taste bitter.

Indian mountain pepper:

Indian mountain pepper is hand-picked "single-origin" and the pepper is dried in the sun for a very long time.

This jungle pepper grows in a pepper plantation in the heights of the Western Ghats in southern India. The plantation has been run as a pure organic farm for over 20 years and places great emphasis on rich biodiversity. This farm has one of the highest rainfall in India.

Sri Lanka pepper:

Sri Lanka is world famous for its excellent spices and spice gardens.

The pepper has very beautiful brown berries with a lot of strength and substance. And it has a nice spiciness that tingles a little and lingers in the mouth for a long time. The pepper from Sri Lanka therefore harmonizes very well with beef, soups and sauces, dressings and ragouts.

For us, craftsmanship, materials and aesthetics take centre stage. Our product photos should give you an honest and inspiring impression of what you're getting – without unnecessary staging.

The vast majority of product photos in our webshop are therefore taken by us – whether it's a mill, a knife holder, a serving board or one of our textiles. The images of our wooden products always show real, handcrafted pieces, photographed before they are packed and shipped to their new owners.

To help you imagine how the products look in different homes and kitchens, we sometimes place these original photographs into AI-generated interiors or backgrounds. Only the background is artificial – the product itself is never altered or AI-generated. Every grain, edge, colour and detail you see belongs to the physical piece we made.

From time to time, we also receive photos from happy customers who kindly allow us to use them in the webshop. These images offer an honest and inspiring glimpse of how our products look in real homes and surroundings.

No artificial product renders. No misleading visual enhancements. Just real craftsmanship, photographed honestly.

We are constantly expanding our product gallery. As many of our products come in a wide range of sizes and variants, we don't yet have photos of them all. All prices in the webshop are displayed in your local currency. Prices for customers in the EU, UK, Switzerland and Norway always include the applicable VAT. Further information on customs duties and fees can be found in the section below.

We believe in the value of good craftsmanship – and this is reflected in our prices, which are the same for all customers all year round. We do not participate in discount campaigns such as Black Friday, and you will not find discount codes for our shop on external sites or offer services.

It's a conscious choice: We don't want to discriminate against our customers, so instead of short-term or individual discounts, we offer quality products at fair prices and these benefits that are always available to everyone:

When will the money be withdrawn?

• For items in stock: The amount is reserved on your account when you place your order and is only withdrawn when we ship your package.
• Woodworking (custom-made wooden products): These products are handmade to order, therefore the order is considered a binding pre-order.
• The purchase amount will be deducted as soon as your order is approved and production has started. Should you regret your purchase, we will of course refund you the full amount.

Returns and complaints

30-day cancellation policy

You have 30 days from the date of receipt of the goods to notify us that you wish to cancel your purchase. You then have a further 8 days to return the goods. The right of cancellation applies to all standard products.

Exception: For custom-made products, the right of withdrawal only applies if this has been agreed in writing in advance.

⏎ Right of withdrawal

You have 30 days after receipt to notify us that you regret the purchase, and then you have an additional 8 days to send it back.

The right of withdrawal applies to all standard products in the webshop.

The right of withdrawal and return for custom-made products in special sizes is only valid if a special (written) agreement has been made.

If you regret your purchase and return the item(s), we will refund the full purchase amount when the item(s) are delivered back to us in unused and undamaged condition.

According to the Danish Sales Act, Rune-Jakobsen Design grants a 2-year warranty from the invoice date for manufacturing and material defects (defects).

Complaints about defects or damage to delivered products must be made to Rune-Jakobsen Design within 14 days of receipt of the item(s).

The right of complaint does not cover errors, damage or wear and tear, directly or indirectly resulting from incorrect operation, incorrect maintenance, violence or unauthorized interventions.

If you cancel your purchase, you can use a shipping company of your choice and bear the costs associated with the return.

We ship DAP (Delivered At Place) to Australia and GST is not charged at checkout. Whether your order will be subject to tax upon arrival depends on one simple threshold:

Orders under AUD 1,000: No duty, no GST, no fees. Your order is delivered directly to your door at no additional cost — the price at checkout plus shipping is all that matters.

Orders over AUD 1,000: Australian authorities charge import duties and GST, which the carrier will settle with you before delivery. Here's how it's calculated:

1. Customs duty: approximately 5% of the price of the goods (the rate depends on the type of goods).
2. GST: 10% of goods + freight + customs duty.
3. Processing fee: a fixed fee for customs clearance from authorities and the shipping company, typically AUD 100–200 total.

Calculation example: You order goods for AUD 1,600 with AUD 150 in shipping.

• Duty: 5% of 1,600 = AUD 80
• GST: 10% of (1,600 + 150 + 80) = AUD 183
• Processing fee: approx. AUD 100–200
• Total import costs: approximately AUD 360–460 — on top of what you paid at checkout.

Good to know: The limit applies per shipment. So if your order is just over AUD 1,000, it may be best to either keep the order below the limit or add a little more to your cart so that the import costs are spread over a larger purchase — the processing fee is the same whether the order is AUD 1,100 or AUD 3,000.

We ship DAP (Delivered At Place) to Canada. Canadian sales tax (GST/HST) and any handling fee will be charged. by the shipping company upon import.

All of our products — with the exception of the Japan collection — are of EU origin and can therefore be imported duty-free under the EU-Canada Free Trade Agreement (CETA). Products from our Japan collection may be subject to customs duties at the regular Canadian rates.

🌍 Customers from other countries

For other countries outside the EU, orders are shipped DAP (Delivered At Place). This means that any import duties, local VAT and handling fees are collected by the shipping company when the goods arrive in your country.
