Yu Kurosaki is a relatively young blacksmith from Takefu Knife Village in Echizen, Japan. Over the past few years, he has taken the knife world by storm with his creative designs and exceptional hardening skills.

The incredibly skilled blacksmith is known for his extremely beautiful and functional knives. He is especially known for his Tsuchime finish found on his Senko series, among others.

The knife here is a 240mm sujihiki made in 3 layers, with SG2 in the core and 2 stainless outer layers. The sujihiki is used for carving meat and fish, but since the blade is sharpened on both sides, you can easily use it for vegetables and fruit.

SG2 is a very hard, stainless powder steel type that has the characteristics of being very sharp and holding its edge for a long time.
