KATANA is inspired by the classic Japanese stand for storage of knives and samurai swords.
KATANA comes in sizes fitting 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 knives, and can be ordered with approx. 8 cm between each brass bearing (standard) or with approx. 6 cm between each bearing (compact).
Height between approx. 40 and 70 cm depending on the number of knives and variant.
Compact is super smart if you have limited space on your kitchen table and do not want it dominated by a high KATANA.
KATANA is recommended for knives with blades between 10 and 30 cm of length, and comes as standard for right-handed knives.
Of course, I'd also like to tailor a KATANA for you, if you want a special number of knives or other dimensions - Send an email if you have special requests.
We only use carefully curated FSC certified furniture wood. The primary woods are oak, smoked oak and walnut. In addition, we offer a number of special types of wood that are sold in conjunction with special orders, e.g. Teak, ash, chestnut, golden rain, cherry, wengé, zebrano, beech, etc.
We finish all products with a high-quality wood oil, but if you would prefer e.g. an oil with a white pigment, we can of course do that too - the desired final treatment can be mentioned under the remarks of the ordering.

The vast majority of knife rails and knife blocks on the market are mass-produced in factories in Asia or Eastern Europe.

Unlike many other knife rails and knife blocks on the market, our knife holders are fully magnetic . This means that the rail or knife block is effective over the entire length/width and you can position your knives as desired.
We only use strong, high-quality neodymium magnets in various sizes and formats, which are carefully selected so that they play optimally with the knife rail's design and purpose.
Many manufacturers choose to send point magnetic products on the market that can only hold a limited number of knives as there is only one round magnet per blade. knife.
In our knife rails, there are several continuous rows of powerful N52 Neodyminum magnets along the entire length of the rail, so your knives are guaranteed to hang regardless of size and weight.
So with us you will find no cheap disc magnets drilled into the wood from the back of the rail, as is often the case with other rails on the market.
The bar magnets in our products are invisibly encased in the wood and are distributed in several unbroken rows so that you achieve optimal adhesion with several contact points on each knife blade. In this way, you avoid your knives sliding down, or "spinning" around and being attracted to each other if they are tight.

The knife magnets in the webshop are standard designs and formats - but you can easily have a product made according to your wishes. Just contact us - and we will create a tailor-made product for you.
Of course, we make small changes compared to the standard measurements without charge.

Suspension:
All our knife rails come as standard with different types of hidden brackets for screw mounting on the back (screws and rawlplugs included)
- but do you have e.g. a tiled wall that you don't want to screw into, most knife rails can also be produced without suspension so that they can be stuck up with e.g. "No more nails" from Pattex or a similar assembly glue. Special requests for suspension are stated in the comments when ordering.
Right of return
When you order a unique knife rail or knife block in the webshop without having "seen it in real life", there will always be a built-in uncertainty as two products are never the same or have the same visual expression - so perhaps the result was not quite as you had imagined you or expected.
That is why there is a full right of return on all knife holders - even if they are custom-made.
You can now get all RJ Woodworks products with copper details as an alternative to brass or aluminium for an additional charge depending on size and design.
