The well-known citrus juicer — now with a handle and jug. Squeeze the fruit directly at the table and serve the juice immediately.

The material is Amakusa stoneware clay from Kumamoto, fired in the kilns in Hasami, Nagasaki. Pure Japanese porcelain from farm to table.

The pressing cone is tall and round — designed to squeeze the very last bit out of a halved lemon. The grooves are sharp and precise. The shape has been developed through numerous trials, so that pressing is effortless and waste-free. The seeds stay in the bowl; the juice runs clean through.

The jug's capacity is larger than the juice of one lemon — there's room for more. Mix the juice directly in the jug with soy sauce, sake and dashi for a homemade ponzu, dressing or sauce.

The spout is deliberately glazed thinner than the rest so that it pours cleanly and does not drip.
