A spacious 17.2 liter pot with two handles – the size for stock, soup and large portions of stews. Pentole Agnelli has been producing cookware in Bergamo since 1907 and is among the most widely used brands in Italian restaurant kitchens.
Why such a tall pot?
The height of 28 cm is just as important as the diameter: a tall, narrow pot has a small surface area in relation to its volume, so less evaporation occurs during long simmering times. This is why stock is cooked in a tall pot and reduction is made in a shallow one. Two handles mean you can lift it full with both hands.

Agnelli's stainless steel cookware is built from 1.5 mm thick 18/10 stainless steel sides combined with a 3-layer base consisting of a layer of 18/10 stainless steel, a layer of aluminum and a bottom of ferrous steel.
The use of thick aluminum in the base ensures faster and more even heat distribution. The aluminum absorbs and distributes heat from the ferritic steel disc in
bottom, which improves performance compared to stainless steel alone.
