MAC

MAC is forged in the city of Sakai, Japan. MAC has a long tradition of craftsmanship, dating back to the forging of ancient samurai swords.

Every single knife is still hand-sharpened and quality-controlled before leaving production.
MAC knives have a high carbon content, which maintains their sharpness, and are also rust-free.
MAC makes many different series of kitchen knives and here you can get everything from the cheap chef series to the very expensive honyaki knives.

About Japanese kitchen knives

The majority of Japanese kitchen knives you find on the market are not made in Japan, but mass-produced in other parts of the world.

The demand for the best handmade knives has increased globally, and to meet the demand, the market has been flooded with kitchen knives of widely varying quality.

Having the opportunity to trade with genuine handmade knives from the finest Japanese knifemakers requires strong personal relationships with the most skilled blacksmiths and knifemakers.

Our range has therefore been built over time through close collaborations with the most renowned Japanese knife manufacturers.

Our close partner and supplier of knives has built valuable connections to small and large manufacturers through trips to Japan, giving us access to unique knives that are rarely found elsewhere.

The selection ranges from the large Japanese manufacturers that compete with the well-known European brands, to small family-run forges where quality and classic craftsmanship are in an absolutely exceptional class.
