Sometimes you just need a board.
A board that can complement your kitchen, hold up to daily use without becoming frayed and warped and a board that you can look at and look forward to for many years.
A beautifully processed board made of solid oak, smoked oak or walnut that can bring life to a Corian table plate or in a kitchen environment in stainless steel with a surfaces.

Meat Just a board. I try to create a minimalist board that is in harmony, and has a visual expression that clearly indicates that a board can be more than "just a board"
'Just a board' is made in a number of standard sizes, but you are welcome to contact me if you have a desired size or e.g. want your board with a leading edge.
If you want laser engraving, it will be done without charge.
The standard thickness is 4 cm.

Our range of handmade cutting boards help you with your cooking and dress up any kitchen or dining table.

The vast majority of cutting boards on the market are mass-produced in Asia or Eastern Europe - but with us you will only find hand-made, Danish-produced quality products in oak or walnut made in our own joinery.

Unlike many other cutting board manufacturers, we consider a cutting board as a piece of furniture that must be made with care.
We spend time creating a harmonious and visual expression. We prioritize spending time on both coarse, medium and fine sanding with washing down between each sanding, so that the end result is a cutting board with a silky smooth finish that patinas beautifully so you can enjoy it for many years without it becoming rough and tedious to look and feel.
In other words, we do not make "buy cheap - use and throw away" cutting boards
Only solid FSC certified furniture wood is used for all our designs. Likewise, the production of cutting boards is under the control of the Danish Food Agency.

RETURN RIGHT
When you order a unique cutting board in the webshop without having "seen it in reality", there will always be a built-in uncertainty as no two boards are ever the same or have the same expression - so perhaps the result was not quite as you had imagined or expected.
That is why there is a full right of return on all cutting boards - even if they are custom-made.
We only use carefully curated FSC certified furniture wood. The primary woods are oak, smoked oak and walnut. In addition, we offer a number of special types of wood that are sold in conjunction with special orders, e.g. Teak, ash, chestnut, golden rain, cherry, wengé, zebrano, beech, etc.
We finish all products with a high-quality wood oil, but if you would prefer e.g. an oil with a white pigment, we can of course do that too - the desired final treatment can be mentioned under the remarks of the ordering.

Rune-Jakobsen Woodworks are handmade to order, so you should therefore expect it to take approx. 10-15 working days before your order is ready for delivery (applies to the period 1 January to 31 October.)
In the period 1 November - 31 December, you should expect a further 5-7 working days delivery time.

JUICE GROOVE
The juice grooves in our boards are not just for decoration. They are 19mm wide and 10mm deep, and can therefore hold a lot of liquid so that it stays on the board instead of running over the table.

We offer to manufacture all Woodworks products with copper details instead of brass or aluminum for a surcharge of 5-15% depending on size and design.

Care and maintenance, cutting boards
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Even if you use our boards often, with the right treatment they will remain beautiful for many years. If you use the board as a cutting board, however, scratches and marks will appear in the wood - unfortunately this cannot be avoided.
Please note that wood is a living material that expands and contracts depending on temperature and humidity - unfortunately metal does not, so you will find that with boards with brass or aluminium, the metal will occasionally "stud" a little - and other times it will be drawn accordingly into the tree. Hopefully, however, it will most often sit where it should as when the board was created.
Wash the board by hand immediately after use, or wipe it with a wet/damp cloth. Remember to wet the board on both sides and let it dry by placing it on its side, otherwise it may warp.
Limitations of Use.
● Do not put in the dishwasher● Do not use for long-term food storage
● Do not use for purposes other than cooking/preparation for cooking
● May only be maintained with food-approved cooking oil

The board can easily withstand general. hand wash with washing-up liquid, but the soap will eventually remove the oiling.
NOTE that boards in smoked oak can "contaminate" if they come into direct, prolonged contact with ordinary light oak or brass table tops.
You can give the board a thin layer of ordinary cooking oil on all surfaces from time to time - this will preserve the wood's glow. The board must be completely dry before you apply oil. Should the board nevertheless become a little "rough" to the touch over time, it is because the wood's fibers rise slightly on the surface.
You can make the board smooth again by sanding the wood gently in the direction of the grain with a fine-grained sandpaper with a grain size of 400 or higher, and then giving it a thin layer of Alm. cooking oil (e.g. sunflower oil).
In general
All product photos are real photos of the specific products. However, some photos have added interiors and surroundings created using artificial intelligence to create atmosphere and put the product into context.
Regarding Woodworks
We aim to continuously expand the catalog so that sizes and designs are best illustrated in the webshop.
There are not photos of all variants and sizes, so the photo that appears when choosing a variant in the webshop mainly reflects only the type of wood - not necessarily size or other variations in the design.
