Our knife holders are considered to be among the strongest and best-crafted on the market .

For almost 10 years we have been custom manufacturing and delivering handmade knife rails and knife blocks to private customers all over the world. Each and every knife holder is produced to order in our small cabinetmaking workshop, beautifully located in the northernmost part of Denmark.

Fully magnetic design – free placement, strong hold

Our knife holders differ significantly from traditional solutions in that they are fully magnetic . This means that you can place your knives freely over the entire surface – without restrictions and without the risk of them slipping or being attracted to each other.

We only use powerful N52 Neodymium magnets of the highest quality – custom-made and imported directly from our trusted manufacturer.

Where many manufacturers settle for point magnetism and cheap disc magnets, we ensure multiple unbroken rows of powerful magnets, elegantly and invisibly encapsulated in the wood and distributed so that each knife achieves multiple contact points on the knife blade.

Accomplished craftsmanship and aesthetics

We consider our knife holders to be functional pieces of furniture – and this is reflected in the entire manufacturing process. Every detail counts: From the carefully selected FSC-certified oak or walnut to the meticulous manufacturing and final hand sanding, which results in a smooth, harmonious surface and a finish that ages gracefully.

Finally, an environmentally friendly furniture oil is applied, and each product is discreetly stamped with our signature – Rune-Jakobsen – as a seal of quality for good Danish craftsmanship and responsible production.

Customized to your wishes – standard and custom designs

Our webshop contains a selection of standard designs in fixed formats – both wall-mounted knife rails and free-standing knife blocks. But we also offer tailor-made solutions according to your measurements and preferences. Minor adjustments in measurements or fittings are accommodated at no additional cost, and we are happy to advise without obligation if you have special wishes for suspension, choice of materials or design.

Flexible suspension

All knife rails are supplied with concealed fittings and the necessary mounting hardware. If you would rather mount without screws – for example on a tiled wall – we can produce the rail without a hanger, so it can be easily attached with mounting adhesive such as "No More Nails". Simply write your wishes in the comments field when ordering.

All measurements in our webshop are given in centimeters (cm).

If you use inches (inches), you can easily convert with these formulas:

* 1 cm = 0.39 inch**
* 1 inch = 2.54 cm**

**Examples of conversion from cm to inches:**

* 20 cm ≈ 7.87 inch
* 40 cm ≈ 15.75 inch
* 60 cm ≈ 23.62 inch
* 80 cm ≈ 31.50 inch

**Examples of conversion from inches to cm:**

* 10 inch = 25.4 cm
* 20 inch = 50.8 cm
* 30 inch = 76.2 cm

We recommend using an online converter for accurate conversion.

All knife rails come with two hidden keyhole brackets on the back.

We use different types of keyhole fittings depending on the design, but the principle is the same.

2 screws are drilled into the wall to which the rail is attached. Screws + raw plugs are included when ordering.

If you want to mount without screws, you can use a mounting adhesive or strong double-sided tape. We usually recommend 'No More Nails' from Pattex, but any mounting adhesive will work as long as your nails are not too heavy and the wall is 100% flat.

Alternatively, we can place the keyhole brackets at a distance that matches two joints in a tiled wall. This simply requires that we be informed of the exact distance between two joints when ordering.

When ordering, please leave a note in the shopping cart so that I will make the back completely smooth without oil treatment so that the tape/adhesive sticks better.

(Please note that all warranties will be void if the knife rail is mounted without the use of mounting brackets.)

You can now get all RJ Woodworks products with copper details as an alternative to brass or aluminium for an additional charge depending on size and design.

We only use carefully curated FSC certified furniture wood. The primary woods are oak, smoked oak and walnut. In addition, we offer a number of special types of wood that are sold in conjunction with special orders, e.g. Teak, ash, chestnut, golden rain, cherry, wengé, zebrano, beech, etc.

We finish all products with a high-quality wood oil, but if you would prefer e.g. an oil with a white pigment, we can of course do that too - the desired final treatment can be mentioned under the remarks of the ordering.

There are not photos of all variants and sizes, so the photo that appears when choosing a variant in the webshop mainly reflects only the type of wood - not necessarily size or other variations in the design.

NOTE that we always try to create unique wooden products with an exciting visual expression. You must therefore take our product photos as a guide and not as a guarantee of how the finished product appears in terms of year drawings and color play.

We offer payment with MasterCard, VISA, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Mobile Pay.

⏎ Complaints and right of withdrawal
According to the Danish Sales Act, Rune-Jakobsen Design grants a 2-year warranty from the invoice date for manufacturing and material defects (defects).

The right of complaint does not cover errors, damage or wear and tear, directly or indirectly resulting from incorrect operation, incorrect maintenance, violence or unauthorized interventions.

Any complaints about defects in delivered products must be made to Rune-Jakobsen Design within 14 days after the buyer has - or should have discovered the defect.

You have 30 days after receipt to notify us that you regret the purchase, and then you have an additional 8 days to return it.

The right of withdrawal applies to all standard products in the webshop.

The right of withdrawal and return for custom-made products in special sizes is only valid if a special (written) agreement has been made.

If you regret your purchase and return the item(s), we will refund the full purchase amount when the item(s) are delivered back to us in unused and undamaged condition.

You can use a shipping company of your choice and bear the costs associated with the return yourself.

All prices in the webshop are displayed in your local currency. All prices include applicable EU VAT.

Countries outside the EU can trade VAT-free. When selling to countries outside the EU, VAT and customs duties may be imposed in accordance with applicable legislation.

Rune-Jakobsen Design cannot be held responsible for accidents, damage or incidents caused by incorrect use of knife holders, as well as knife holders that are not mounted correctly using the mounted suspension brackets and screws (wall-mounted designs) or correct/responsible placement of table models.

Rune-Jakobsen Design cannot be held responsible for accidents, injuries or incidents caused by knives as a result of incorrect or inappropriate use or hanging of knives on the knife holder.
