The Shun Premier Tim Mälzer knives from KAI are a premium series of knives for both enthusiasts and professionals. The hallmarks are high quality and finish, good cutting properties and a very comfortable handle.

The focus is of course on the functional aspects, but it has nevertheless resulted in a visually impressive knife with many details such as the beaten tsuchime surface on the upper half of the blade, the clear transitions between the 65 layers of steel the knife is forged from. The handle, which is made of American walnut wood, has also been pampered.

The knife here is a 23 cm bread knife, and it is equipped with the special split edge we know from all bread knives from KAI. This means that the teeth point forward from the middle of the blade and forward and opposite from the middle and back - you can see this best in the first picture of the knife. This gives some very clean, neat cuts where the bread does not fray when you break the crust.

Premier is a series of knives with a relatively thin blade that has good cutting properties and is relatively light.
