Rune-Jakobsen Design is a Danish design studio, founded in 2016 by Kari and Torben Rune-Jakobsen, specializing in handcrafted kitchenware, and lifestyle products.
Crafted – Not Produced.
At Rune-Jakobsen Design, we create more than kitchenware—we craft meaningful objects for everyday living. Rooted in Scandinavian minimalism and precision craftsmanship, our pieces are designed to last for generations. Each item is made to order using sustainably sourced wood and natural materials, lovingly handcrafted in our own Danish workshop.
Founded and run by husband-and-wife team Kari and Torben Rune-Jakobsen, our brand stands as a testament to quality, authenticity, and personal connection. Under the name Rune-Jakobsen Woodworks, we personally produce a curated line of handmade home furnishings and kitchen accessories in our small cabinet shop—because we believe the best design comes from makers who care.
We proudly partner only with independent, like-minded manufacturers who share our uncompromising commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship.

Rune-Jakobsen Design is a Danish company that ships all orders from Denmark.
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs will be added at checkout.
We charge VAT for sales to all countries in the EU as well as Norway.
For sales to countries outside the EU you may be charged customs and VAT according to the applicable legislation for your country.
- We do not participate in January sales, Black Week, Black Friday or other types of sales.
- Our prices in the webshop are the same all year round.
- You can get a 15% discount all year round if you buy more than 3 wood products and a 10% discount when buying more than 3 tea towels. The discount is automatically deducted at checkout.
- We usually also have good offers in the Outlet on discontinued products, prototypes or leftover lots.
Personally, Kari and I find it super annoying to be bombarded with emails asking for customer reviews every time we shop online or have a package delivered. That's why we don't send out emails to our customers asking for reviews as a matter of principle - but we are always happy when a customer takes the trouble to send an email with feedback or write a review on their own initiative.
The current delivery time appears on the product pages under each product.
Normal delivery time for stock items is 1-2 working days in Denmark and 5-6 working days abroad.

All wooden products can be made to special dimensions. Small changes in relation to standard measures are carried out at no additional cost.
