'ANSO' - Magnetal knife rail
ANSØ is a custom label knife rail we have designed especially for the handmade kitchen knives from Anso of Denmark Gastro
The knife rail is designed so that it complements the beautiful knives as best as possible and gives them the exclusive suspension they deserve, but of course it can also look amazing with all sorts of other knives 🤩
The magnets are invisibly encased in the wood and distributed in several rows so that you achieve optimal adhesion with several contact points on the knife blade.
This prevents your knives from "spinning" around on the rail and being attracted to each other.
ANSØ is made as standard in lengths from 40 - 80 cm. It is 50mm wide and runs approx. 25mm from the wall. If you want a knife rail in special dimensions, you are welcome to contact us.
About Knife Storage
Our magnetic knife rails and knife blocks have a thorough visual expression and are very high quality.
The vast majority of knife rails and knife blocks on the market are mass-produced in Asia or Eastern Europe.
With us, you only find Danish-made knife storage, handmade to order.
Unlike many other knife rails and knife blocks on the market, our knife holders are fully magnetic. This means that the rail or knife block is effective along the entire length/width, and you can place your blades however you'd like.
Many manufacturers choose to put point-magnetic products on the market that can hold only a limited number of knives, since there is only one round magnet.
The rod magnets in our products are invisibly encapsulated in the wood and are distributed in several unbroken rows. so you achieve optimal attachment with multiple contact points on each blade. That way you avoid your knives slipping down, spinning around and being attracted to each other if they sit tightly.
Strong Neodymium magnets in high quality are expensive, so many manufacturers skimp on this material. We import our own magnets directly from a manufacturer we trust, and which delivers magnets in the quality and formats we want - you will find no weak, cheap hobby magnets in our designs.
We use only powerful, high-quality N50/N52 neodymium magnets in various sizes, carefully selected to play optimally with the design of the product.

The knife magnets in the webshop are standard designs and formats - but you can easily have a product made according to your wishes. Just contact us, and we will make you a custom-made product.

Suspension:
All our knife rails come as standard with different types of hidden brackets for screw suspension on the back (screws and rawlplus) Included)
- but do you have e.g. A tile wall that you do not want to screw in, most knife rails can also be made without suspension so they can be glued up with eg. "No more nails" from Pattex or a similar assembly glue. Special requests for suspension are stated in the comments when ordering.
Return policy
When you order a unique product in the webshop without having "seen it in reality", there will always be some degree of uncertainty, since no two products will be the same or have the same visual expression - maybe the result wasn't quite as you imagined or expected.
Therefore, all knife holders are fully returnable - even if they are custom made.
Copper details?
You can now get all RJ Woodworks products with copper details as an alternative to brass or aluminium for an additional charge depending on size and design.

We only use carefully curated FSC certified furniture wood. The primary woods are oak, smoked oak and walnut. In addition, we offer a number of special types of wood that are sold in conjunction with special orders, e.g. Teak, ash, chestnut, golden rain, cherry, wengé, zebrano, beech, etc.
We finish all products with a high-quality wood oil, but if you would prefer e.g. an oil with a white pigment, we can of course do that too - the desired final treatment can be mentioned under the remarks of the ordering.

MANUFACTURING THE OPTIMAL MAGNETIC KNIFE BLOCK OR KNIFE RAIL IS NOT JUST ABOUT RAW STRENGTH AND THE NUMBER OF MAGNETS.
It's all about aesthetics and know-how in relation to choosing the right type of magnets for the task and placing them in the wood in such a way that optimal adhesion to the knife blade is achieved at the same time that the knife can be easily removed from the block or rail without using unnecessary power.
